2007 Spring Exploration Program Underway at Committee Bay Greenstone Belt, Nunavut, Canada;
Initial Drill Program Targets High Grade Gold Intercepts at Inuk Prospect Edmonton, Alberta - Committee Bay Resources Ltd. (CBR: TSX-V) has commenced the 2007 spring drill program at the Inuk Prospect. Crews have mobilized and stockpiled supplies for a CDN$5.0 million exploration program at the Committee Bay Greenstone Belt Project located northeast of Baker Lake, Nunavut, Canada. The Inuk Prospect is located approximately 147 kilometres (km) northeast of the Three Bluffs Deposit and 38 km from tide water. The 2007 spring drill program at Inuk, consisting of 500 metres (m) for 6 holes, is designed to follow-up drilling conducted during 2003, which intersected mineralized iron formation assaying up to 16.04 g/t Au over 12.60m (See CBR press release - September 2, 2003). This program is expected to be completed during the month of May. The 2007 Committee Bay Greenstone Belt summer drill program is planned to commence in late June. Drilling will be focused on the Three Bluffs area and on additional high-grade gold occurrences like Inuk, along the highly mineralized portion of the Committee Bay Greenstone Belt. A +5,000 m infill drill program will be conducted at the Three Bluffs gold deposit to expand the current resource and upgrade its resource category from the Inferred Resource defined in 2004. Previous drilling at Three Bluffs through 2004 had identified an Inferred Resource of 1.9 million tonnes at 8.0 grams per tonne (g/t) Au for 487,000 contained ounces (See CBR press release – November 29, 2004). In addition to the infill drill program at Three Bluffs, the summer program will include focused fieldwork and drill testing at several prospects along strike from the Three Bluffs deposit where significant high grade gold surface showings and Mag/EM anomalies have defined priority drill targets.
