SUMMER DRILL PROGRAM COMMENCES AT THREE BLUFFS DEPOSIT COMMITTEE BAY GREENSTONE BELT, NUNAVUT, CANADA

July 5, 2007

Edmonton, Alberta - Committee Bay Resources Ltd. (CBR: TSX-V) (“Committee Bay” or the “Company”) today, commenced the 2007 summer infill and step-out drill program at the Three Bluffs Gold Deposit. A drill crew has also been re-mobilized to start the Inuk drill program. In addition to drill work, the Company will conduct sampling and prospecting along the Committee Bay Greenstone Belt, located northeast of Baker Lake, in Nunavut, Canada.

This summer drill program will focus on the Three Bluffs area and on additional high-grade gold targets along the highly mineralized central portion of the Committee Bay Greenstone Belt. A +5,000 m infill drill program will be conducted at the Three Bluffs gold deposit to expand and upgrade the current Inferred Resource which was defined in 2004.  Previous drilling at Three Bluffs through 2004 had identified an Inferred Resource of 1.9 million tonnes at 8.0 grams per tonne (g/t) Au for 487,000 contained ounces (See CBR press release – November 29, 2004). In addition to the infill and step-out drill program at Three Bluffs, the summer program will include focused fieldwork and drill testing at several prospects along strike from the Three Bluffs deposit where significant high grade gold surface showings and Mag/EM anomalies have defined priority drill targets. (To view the proposed drill hole locations see Figures 1 & 2)

The Inuk Prospect is located approximately 147 kilometres (km) northeast of the Three Bluffs Deposit and 38 km from tide water. The 2007 drill program at Inuk, consisting of 500 metres (m) for 6 holes, is designed to follow-up drilling conducted during 2003, which intersected mineralized iron formation assaying up to 16.04 g/t Au over 12.60m (See CBR press release - September 2, 2003). The Inuk drill program was initiated during the spring season (see CBR press release May 10, 2007), however due to poor weather conditions and operational considerations completion of the program was deferred until this summer season.
